Visit Us

As well as individuals and families, the Museum welcomes visits from groups of almost any kind, such as U3A, historical societies, car and motorcycle clubs, RAF Apprentice reunions, care homes, schools and colleges, Scouting Association groups and Cadet Forces. Visits take place within the usual Museum open times of every Wednesday and the second Saturday of each month.
Adults: We can accommodate groups of up to 50 adults, subject to sufficient notice.
Schools: We offer schools a day-long programme of events aimed at up to 30 pupils of Year 6. Options available are WW1 studies, WW2 studies or Cool Aeronautics (STEM).
Colleges: We can tailor a visit for groups of students with an interest in aviation, engineering or history.
Scouting Association: We offer an opportunity for between 15 and 24 Cubs/Scouts/Guides/Brownies/Beavers to obtain their Air Activities Badge. Sessions last about three hours.
Cadets: Cadet visits can be undertaken as part of other activities on the Station, such a Summer Camp, or as a stand-alone activity.
If you wish to book a group visit, please submit a Contact form to start the conversation, tell us exactly what you would like and we will take it from there.
